Inquiry #4: 1) Plan sheet IR-3 shows us that an existing controller will be removed from the existing Irrigation Controller Cabinet located on the East side of the existing driveway across the street from Via Ambrosa. The controller will be turned over to the City of San Diego while the controller cabinet will remain in place. As a side note an existing Irrigation Controller Cabinet (Double) with controllers is to be removed from the site as well as all irrigation in the immediate vicinity.

Plan sheet IP-3 indicates a new controller of 18 station capacity is to be installed in the remaining existing controller cabinet. Presumably this will be a 110 volt standard voltage controller based on observation of the existing enclosure and the adjacent meter pedestal.

Reading through section 20 of the Special Provisions we have not found any reference to an irrigation controller model number for this controller. The only controller called out is for the Leit Solar powered controllers which will be installed per plan sheet IP-1 (West side of the freeway) (Solar IC “D”) (see Special Provisions Section 20, page 42). An 18 station controller is shown as bid line item 53 but we have no identification data for it.

• Please provide the Make and Model number of the 18 station irrigation controller required for installation into the existing controller cabinet for the City of San Diego East side of the project.

2) When downloading the available documents we have noted that the Federal Schedule of Prevailing wages (Davis-Bacon) was included. The Special Provisions lead us to believe that this project is subject to State of California Prevailing Wages only.

Please verify that this project is subject to State of California prevailing wages only and Federal Wages (Davis-Bacon) are not a part of this contract.

4. Also reference to sheet L-1 and sheet IP-3, there are sleeves shown on sheet IP-3 but not shown on sheet L-1 (see callout no. 23 thru 31 on sheet L-1). Please advise.
