Details do not call out if one is required or not - the standard drawings still have details for walkways however a directive issued by Caltrans does not require walkways when class XI reflective sheeting is used (which is being used on this structure) but has to be clarified job-by-job what is required.

Inquiry #4: The project site currently has a significant amount of debris leftover from the previous occupant. Will this be removed prior to the beginning of the project or should the contractor anticipate removing the debris as part of this contract?
