Inquiry #69: Regarding the slope paving pavers (sht 272 and 273) ... It appears the architectural design hasn't really performed due diligence here and explored the paver market and found/spec'd an applicable paver stone. Instead the architectural design is based on CMU masonry block units that Basalite offers ONLY as CMU Block units. To satisfy the current design, Basalite can only offer up the CMU block units and Contractor would then cut the face off the CMU blocks and attempt to use them in the field. Current design calls for 3" thick pavers ... but face cutting the CMUs will result in 1.5" thick paver. Contractor has to perform cutting in the field as Basalite believes the 1.5" thickness will be prone to breaking. Please clarify if this acceptable and/or if this is design intent.
