Response #2:The Anti-Graffiti Coating will be required only on one side of the sound wall, and it'll be the street side as it is more likely to get graffiti.

Inquiry #2: Is there going to be a TCE by the existing house? The homeowner has a shed right up against the existing Plywood Sound wall which gets removed. It looks like the homeowner has encroached into the RW. Also the limits for Structural ex and backfill will encroach into the homeowners yard by 2' along with the temporary chain link fence.
Please address.

Response #2:There will be no TCE. Yes, the homeowners have encroached into CT RW. The shed will be removed but all work has to be within CT RW.

Inquiry #6: Are there any Construction Area Signs or Traffic Control Plans for this project?

Response #2:The project doesn't have any Construction Area Signs or Traffic Control Plans. However, the contractor has to make sure that the Prevost Street is not blocked while Trucks are entering or exiting the Jobsite.

Inquiry #7: Special Provision section 52-2.03A(1) states that epoxy coat reinforcement shall be used "where shown". The plan sheets do not identify any specific locations. Should we take this to mean all reinforcement on the project must be epoxy coated including CIDH cages?

Inquiry #8: The bid items only have bid item 23, item code 520106 Bar Reinforcing Steel (Epoxy Coated).
Is the Sound Wall Reinforcing suppose to also go to this item?

Inquiry #9: For the existing soundwall removal ... Drawings do not correlate with the Specifications. Section 15 of the Special Provisions state "Existing sound wall (plywood sheet) includes plywood sheets, wooden post and concrete footing. The existing concrete footing must be removed at a depth of 3 feet below the finished grade and the hole
must be filled with lean concrete. " .... However on sht 16 of 26, the detail for Remove Sound Wall (hatched) clearly doesn't extend down to include the existing concrete footing.

Response #2:The details on plans sheet 16 is showing an excavation limit of 3' for the existing concrete pile removal and lean concrete backfill. The top hatch is for plywood and bottom portion is for the removal of the concrete footing and backfill.
