Response #2:Reinforced concrete expansion dam removal is included in the “Remove Asphalt Concrete Surfacing” bid item. Refer to paragraph 1 in section 60-3.02C(3), “Removing Asphalt Concrete Surfacing,” of the Standard Specifications. Bid per current contract documents.

Inquiry #2: The project specification 14-11.16 Asbestos Materials in Bridges indicates that 8 bridges must be surveyed for asbestos materials and outlines requirements for an Asbestos Survey and Sampling Work Plan as well as an Asbestos Survey and Sampling Report.
There are no bid items listed for the Asbestos Survey and Sampling Work Plan or the Asbestos Survey and Sampling Report and the spec section does not specify how these items will be paid (ie as part of bid item 13-Asbestos Compliance Plan). Please advise on how these items are to be billed and paid.
