UPRR does not disclose the number or timing of trains passing through the work area. Railroad traffic varies. The Contractor determines the percentage of work within 50 feet of railroad tracks.

Inquiry #2: Will the department consider changing the two-component paint (specified as Polyurea) with two-component epoxy paint? There are no trucks in California capable of installing two-component polyurea paint.

UPRR has directed contractors to submit a bidder inquiry to determine the daily estimated train count. The State has traditionally supplied this information.

This information is required to get quote for Rail Road Insurance.

This information is necessary to determine the Rail Roads impact on production.

Therefore, this information affects time and cost and should be supplied by by the State.

Please supply this information.

Inquiry #5: 19-2.03A General
Remove pavement within the limits of roadway excavation. Pavement removal must comply with section 39 and 41.

19-6.03A General
Scarify, water, grade, and roll the existing roadbed before placing new material if you construct an embankment on an existing roadway.

41-11.03B Remove Concrete Pavement
If there is overlying material on the concrete pavement, remove it with the pavement.

Please confirm that the quantity of roadway excavation to be paid for includes all necessary removal of pavement to comply with the above referenced specifications, and that any embankment material required to bring areas of pavement removal back to planned subgrade are included in the quantity for payment of import borrow.

2. Will the contractor be responsible for the following measures and reporting Section XIV. Conditions, B. Reporting and Notification Requirements: 1) Project Reporting, a. Annual Reporting, 2) Project Status Notifications, a. Commencement of Construction, b. Request for Notice of Completion of Discharges, and c. Request for Notice of Project Complete Letter?
If so, will line items be added to the bid item list to cover these costs/deliverables?
