Inquiry #2: 1. On page 6 Item 2.9 of the CDFW report, it discusses using quarry run or equivalent rock for the RSP and energy dissipation materials. There is no specific mention of materials coming from specific quarries as has been delineated in the special provisions. If suitable material can be obtained from other local quarries, will that be acceptable?
2. At location 8 - Sheep Gulch, there is a requirement for Crack & Seat (12 SY) existing PCC, however, this is an Asphalt Concrete roadway. Is the intent to crack & seat the existing bridge deck? There are no approach slabs present. We have never seen this done to a bridge deck. What is the ultimate goal of doing this and can it be done without permanent damage to the integrity of the bridge deck? By the looks of the drawing, perhaps the intent is to crack & seat the existing AC pavement just in front of the bridge?

2. The Crack and Seat Bid Item applies to the existing concrete scour protection around the existing bridge footing below the bridge deck.

Inquiry #6: Page DQ-4 of the planset states that there are temporary creek diversion systems at location 7 (0.7 LS) and location 2 (0.3 LS). Please confirm that the other locations will not require temporary creek diversions per the permits restrictions.

(BI#6)-Attention is directed to item 1.2 of 5-1.02 in the Standard Specifications. Two stream diversions are expected. Depending on the Contractor's schedule, additional stream diversions may be required if work is performed when water is present in accordance with the PLACs.
