Inquiry #1: Per Plan Sheet 3 of 7, PPD-1 Note # 1: "FROM POSTMILE R6.6 TO R11.78, THE EXISTING STRIPING FALLS ON CENTERLINE GROUND-IN RUMBLE STRIP (NOT SHOWN)." However, per plan sheet 5 of 7, PDQ-2 the Yellow Thermoplastic Hazardous Waste removal is within the rumble strips and per Caltrans specifications the contractor shall not remove more than 1/8" of the existing asphalt, but the ground-in rumbles are greater than 1/8". How does Caltrans expect the contractor to remove the Yellow Thermoplastic Hazardous Waste located on the rumble strip from postmile R6.6 TO R11.78 without damaging both the rumble strip or the existing asphalt?

Inquiry #2: Per plan sheet PDQ-1, there are quantities listed for striping details 25A, 8, 9, 9A, 36 & 36A, which would indicate that there will be striping performed on the on and off ramps. Note #4 supports striping to include ramps. Where do the striping limits end? Are we to figure stopping at the end of the gore, or going all the way down the ramps to the stop bar? Please clarify.
