Inquiry #1: Drawing SC-1 states that the temporary widening is to be removed and to place shoulder backing. Bid Item 39- Remove AC Pavement doesn't include this quantity, and there's no item for shoulder backing. Is it intended for this effort to be included in the Finishing Roadway Item, or how is it being compensated?

Inquiry #2: 1) Does the Section 60-3.04B(1)(d) requirement to not place polyester concrete overlay on PCC sooner than 28 days apply to the polyester expansion dams?

2) Is there a minimum time period prior to placing the deck treatment on the viaduct PCC deck beyond the Section 51-1.03H required PCC cure period?

Please provide Standard Plans or Manufacturer's Drawings for these two Items. I do not see any In-Line Terminal System with 8ft. posts on the Approved Materials List.

Inquiry #5: The website description for this project says "Install retaining structure and RSP concrete embankment". Is there any work associated with any rock slope protection? The plans only identify areas where there is existing RSP but does not mention any new work to be performed. Please clarify.

Inquiry #6: The typical cross section of the concrete slab shows a chamfer edge and drip groove in the concrete. It appears the slab is poured on grade (on the ground) and backfilled, therefore covering the edge of the viaduct. Will the chamfered edge and drip groove still be required?

Inquiry #7: Item #72 Alternative Inline Terminal System (8 FT Post)

We will not be able to modify the systems by using 8 FT posts without manufacturer approval.
All systems currently on the approved products list have only been tested and approved with 6 FT posts.
