Perform the following under the direction of the local water authority:
1. Connect to the local water authority's main water line, including hot tap or tee as required.
2. Furnish and and install an extension pipe from the main water line to the water meter/
3. Sterilize the extension pipe.
The Water Service Installation Policy, W-15, however, calls for the following:
It is the policy of the City of Antioch to perform all construction work necessary for the tapping of the City water mains in service and for the extending of all service laterals to the street right-of-way line with City forces.

Please clarify which of the above statements are correct. Are we doing the hot tapping or the City of Antioch?

Inquiry #7: In regards to the water meters. Is the bidder to assume that the utility plans “connect to existing water” implies that the indicated water meter location will require a hot tap and locations that only say “install” do not require a tap?

Inquiry #10: Per irrigation plan sheet IP-4, 3" mainline needs to be installed in an exciting cross-over under freeway/railroad, while both side of the this cross-over is ending at narrow area without enough room for pushing the pipe through the existing conduit, please confirm if the new mainline can be connected to an existing mainline after cross-over at both sides in lieu of how its shown on the plans. This is a big ticket item.
