Question #1: Is there an existing Access Control System Caltrans utilizes that this system will tie into?

Question #2: If we are not to tie into the existing Access Control Server for Caltrans, what MFG Model do they use?

Question #3: The Specification calls out for systems, i.e., Access, Video Surveillance, Intrusion and Intercom to integrate. Yest calls out for the Video Surveillance Server to be that of Axis. Axis will only integrate with its own Access Control and Intercom systems. It will not integrate with any Intrusion systems. Please confirm all systems
must integrate as well as if so, using another VMS to ensure all do is allowable.

Inquiry #37: There is an existing schematic fire sprinkler design included in the bidding documents. We have 2 questions regarding this design:

1) The sprinkler lines run parallel with the open web joists. Will attachment to the metal deck be allowed for pipe sizes 1 1/2" and smaller?

2) Will fire sprinkler design build contractors be allowed to reconfigure the piping layout if it is more cost effective? Or is the owner committed to the current pipe routing?

Inquiry #42: 1) Inquiry #3 on RFI’s 1.5.23.pdf – they replaced the metal adjustable shelves which are shown on the wall with reagent shelving (item 2.10A from spec). That is not correct. Reagent shelving are those that are on top of a countertop. Not wall shelving as shown in the elevations. The key note 123553.7 calls out for metal shelving. I think the question was what type of shelving. Wall mounted; free standing like U-Line or Metro type shelving.

2) Per Addendum #1 Plans, Sheet I1-08, Material and finish schedule, Rooms 9-13 note casework as CAB-1 Metal which is correct, but for the counter tops they note WP-1 which is a fiberglass reinforced panels. Spec 123553 calls out for stainless steel tops on all metal casework. Please advise if this is correct?
