Inquiry #1: The bid lists 140W LED Luminaire and 235W LED Luminaire. Is 140W corresponding to Roadway 1 while 235W is corresponding to Roadway 2?

Inquiry #2: Section 14-11.08 of the Special Provisions states there are two locations where Type R-2 material exists and goes on to further state that this material is not to be stockpiled and should be transported to its burial location. However, there is no Bid Item for this Type R-2 material and no burial locations are provided in the project plans. There are only provisions for the excavation and offhaul of Type Z-2 material.

Please provide more information on the handling and burial of the Type R-2 material onsite as well as how this will be measured and compensated for.

Response #2:Please see Addendum #3, for Special Provisions 'Replace section 14-11.08 with: 14-11.08 REGULATED MATERIAL CONTAINING AERIALLY DEPOSITED LEAD' and note that section 14-11.08 has been tailored to specifically call the soil type Z-2 only. No reuse (type R-2) has been called for on this project. The type Z2 soil must be excavated and off hauled immediately to the disposal facility without stockpiling.

Inquiry #3: Project Plans and specs call out 400 cy of Roadway Excavation type Z-2 (bid item #25). There are no specs for type Z-2 excavation, but this work typically involves off-haul and disposal at a CL 1 disposal facility. Section 14 of the Special Provisions describes Type R-2 ADL and procedures for on-site burial of this material. There is no burial site shown in the plan sheets. Is the 400 CY of Roadway Excavation Z-2 allowed to be buried on-site, or will it have to be off-hauled and disposed of off-site at a CL 1 disposal site?
