Inquiry #5: 130 working days for the reconstruction of 33 gores with curb and HMA and 16 slope paving locations with concrete barrier and vegetation control is not adequate. This equates to less than three days per gore/slope paving location. Please consider adding additional working days to the contract time.

Inquiry #7: Bid Item #19 Maintain existing planted areas is unclear. There is no further information as to what areas are to be maintained, Specs 20-10.03C(4) states "Control weeds within a 10-foot radius of existing trees and shrubs within the existing planted area of impacted irrigation valves as shown" Are we to just maintain trees and shrubs around existing valves? It is unclear as to the limits of the planted area to maintain?

Inquiry #9: Which 144"X90" Project Funding Identification Signs will be required? Special Provisions call-out C47B and Sheet CS-1 of the project plans calls out C47C signs. Please clarify.

Inquiry #10: Based on CalTran's standard specifications the (2) 144"x90" C47B signs required on this project are to be mounted on laminated wood box posts. 2015 CalTrans standard specifications section 82-3.02D states that these are a department furnished item. Bid item #73 covers the laminated wood box posts that are required for the installation of item #72. Will the department still be furnishing the laminated wood box posts required for the (2) C47B signs?

Inquiry #11: Sheet C-55, section B-B is showing 1.30 compacted AB under the concrete barrier, is this quantity of AB figured into bid item 33, class 2 aggregate base? The summary of quantities table on sheet Q-3 for the barrier walls is not showing AB except for at the HMA areas.
