Submit new inquiry for this projectInquiry #1: In the special provisions, a paragraph is replaced in Section 39-3.04A which states that cold planing and HMA placement must occur during the same shift at Repair Failed area locations. Does this mean that cold planning and placing of HMA can occur during different shifts at other locations? And if so, how long can the cold planed surface be left open?

Response #2:The depth of the drop-off between adjacent lanes directs the HMA placement. Per Standard Specification 39-3.04C(2), where lanes are open to traffic, the drop-off between adjacent lanes must not be more than 0.15 foot. Bid per current contract documents.

Inquiry #2: I got a inquiry for item # 58 – Reusable Crash Cushion
Are we reusing what we removing item # 60 Remove Crash Cushion
or are we supplying a New Crash Cushion that can be reusable ?
The Specification is calling for a new Smart Cushion and Quad guard .

Response #1:Removed item is Not to be reused. New Smart Cushion and Quadguard is required per project special provisions 83-5.05B.
