Inquiry #1: There is no bid item for removal of existing thermoplastic for this project; as well as the specifications do not specify if the existing thermoplastic is to be removed or just cleaned prior to installation of the Enhanced Wet Night Visibility Thermoplastic bid items. Is it intended that all the removal of the existing thermoplastic is incidental prior to the installation of 6" Enhanced Wet Night Visibility Thermoplastic bid items? Or does the existing thermoplastic remain in place and cleaned prior to the installation of 6" thermoplastic being placed over the top of the existing 4" thermoplastic stripe?
