Inquiry #10: Typical Cross Sections sheets shows distance between some of the guardrail and the hinge point to be less than 4'-0", however there's no pay item for a narrow roadway installation with 7' wood posts. Inquiry #12: The Standard Specifications Sect 12-4.02C(1) states that “Work that interferes with traffic is limited to the hours when closures are allowed.” The closure charts detail when and how many lanes may be closed to perform work and also include time frames where “No work is allowed.” Given the aggressive schedule for this project, will work be allowed behind the barriers during the hours designated as “N” in the closure charts? In the alternative, past projects have allowed work to proceed during the daytime where closure charts indicate no work is allowed as long as the work is behind k-rail with temporary traffic screen attached. Is the working behind barriers with traffic screen during “N” periods option permissible for this project?

Inquiry #14: Plan pages E-2, E-3, E-5, E-6, & E-7 Const. note says MVDS to "wireless data system" see ED-15. ED-15 does not show the MVDS connecting to a modem or switch. Can you clarify how the MVDS data will be transmitted to the TMC?

Response #1:The pages mentioned show the MVDS to be connected to an existing controller cabinet. These cabinets have existing telephone communications for transmitting to TMC therefore, the wireless Data system will not be necessary to be installed at these locations.
