Inquiry #1: The Typical Cross Sections and Details show an outline of a footing for the Item No. 57 - Concrete Barrier Type 60M. Can the state please clarify the following:

1. Is there a footing running the entire length of bid item 57?

2. If there is a footing, does the footing require rebar?

3. If there is a footing, does the removal for the footing get paid for thru Bid Item 35 (Remove Base and Surfacing)?

Inquiry #3: Is there a footing the entire length of the barrier? If so, what is the fill for that footing?

Inquiry #4: Typical Cross Sections show the concrete barrier having a footing through out. Can the state confirm there is a footing and what fill will be in the footing? Is there reinforcement?

Inquiry #5: Section 14-6.03A of the Project Specifications states that "If work on a bridge with roosting bats must be scheduled during the bat maternity season (Apr 1-Aug 31), then a qualified bat biologist must perform biological monitoring throughout the duration of Project work on top the SR-79 San Jacinto River bridge deck". What is the bat monitoring schedule, if required: once weekly, twice weekly, or daily?

Response #1:Daily while construction is taking place on the bridge and throughout the whole duration of work on the bridge deck (because it could have impacts to bats through vibration, noise, etc.).
