Inquiry #3: Per the following section of the specifications, truck mounted mixer spreaders are being excluded from bidding on the project except for minor 4 following areas listed below:

Replace the 4th paragraph of section 37-3.01C(3)(a) with:
Use a continuous self-loading mixing machine except you may use truck mounted mixer spreaders on
any of the following:
1. Radii
2. Side streets
3. Gore areas
4. Areas requiring hand work

Numerous successful projects have been completed with Truck Mounted Spreaders. Will Caltrans please amend this portion of the specifications so bidders/contractors with Truck Mounted Spreaders can bid on the mainline work as well?
