Inquiry #1: Location 5/6 Bear Creek has 7,444 SQFT of Remove Concrete Bridge Deck Surface (Bid Item 33) which calls for removing up to 1" of existing concrete roadway approach slab surface by grinding.
Location 8/18 Beaver Slough has 120 SQFT of Remove Concrete Bridge Deck Surface (Same Bid Item 33) which calls for 3" high pressure water jetting through existing concrete deck along girder centerline full length of girder per plan page 18.
These are two distinctively different removal processes, and will have completely different SQFT pricing. Please advise if it is the intention to have both of these distinctively different construction activities paid for under the same Bid Item 33.

Response #2:Both methods of concrete deck surface removal are paid under item no. 33, Remove Concrete Deck Surface. Please refer to section 60-3.02C(2) of the Standard Specifications.

Inquiry #2: Location 8/18 Beaver Slough calls for 364 LF of Drill and Bond Dowel (Bid Item 24), 970 LB of Bar Reinforcing Steel (Bridge) (Bid Item 29), and 242 EA of Headed Bar Reinforcement (Bid Item 30). Page 18 of the plans Section B-B shows New Drill and Bond Headed Bar, but does not show anything in regards to the 970 LB of Bar Reinforcing Steel. Please advise as to what is paid for under Item 29 and Item 30.
