Inquiry #1: Hi,
After many weeks of no Dist 11 projects, finally this one pops up with of all things "WARRANTY" Stripe, but again no specific product called out ! Additionally Spec Section 84-5.01C(1) requires an ungainly amount of information to be supplied on a CD /DVD (2 ea)
this is not something a Striping Contractor would be typically capable of doing, especially on a project with 45 locations . Since Caltrans always has an Inspector/Engineer watching and recording quantities, why isn't this person the one recording all this information? Also the Manufacturer's info is already provided on the Submittals forwarded before the start of the project ..

Inquiry #2: Per a recent meeting with CalTrans, and discussions with "Warranty" product Manufacturers / Suppliers, there is a discrepancy between what is and is not covered under the "Warranty" Striping Items.
Please issue an Addendum to allow this issue to be resolved , or Strike the "Warranty" wording from the Striping Bid Items and replace the wording with (Enhanced Wet Night Visibility)

Inquiry #4: Addendum 4 indicated we should expect a future addendum to address changes. To date, an addendum has not been received. Is CALTRANS going to postpone the bid/issue another addendum??
