Inquiry #1: Sheet No. 81, C-30, Note #1 says to see precast panel details on the "Panel Details" sheet. There is no sheet titled "Panel Details". What is the length of the precast slabs? The volumes of Individual Precast Slab Replacements on the summary of quantities tables do not calculate to provide a uniform panel length. For example, the first row of panel replacements on the table on Sheet No. 225 calculates to an average panel length of ~17.5', and the second row on the table calculates to an average panel length of ~18'.

Is the intent to provide uniform precast panel lengths? If so, then please provide these dimensions and revise the volumes on the Summary of Quantities pages. If the intent is to have variable length precast panels, then these need to be provided at each location. This will create a significant additional expense for the precast manufacturers.

Inquiry #2: Typical sections show that the existing PCCP section thickness is equal to the new precast panel thickness that is being installed in it's place, with LCB and RMCTB bases existing. How will work proceed in the field, during a nighttime closure, when existing pavement thickness is actually thinner than the new precast panel to be placed? How will this work be paid?
