Requirements: Cal Prime, Inc. can assist in payment with bond premium if contacted prior to bid due. A 100% payment bond and performance bond may be required for the full amount of the subcontract price. Please provide a bond premium rate with your quote. If you have any questions, need assistance in obtaining bonding, lines of credit, insurance, equipment, supplies, materials or related assistance in services, contact our office. Please note that no contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project (submitted on or after March 1, 2015) unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 [with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under Labor Code section 1771.1(a)]. Subcontractors must possess a current contractor’s license, insurance and worker’s compensation coverage meeting Caltrans requirements and will be required to sign Cal Prime, Inc. Subcontract Agreement. Sample of Subcontract can be provided if requested. Requirements: Papich Construction Co. Inc. (PCI) intends to bid as a Prime for this Caltrans contract. We intend to conduct ourselves in good faith and work cooperatively with all qualified firms seeking work on this project. We are willing to break out items of work into economically feasible packages to facilitate DBE participation from certified firms. 100% performance and payment bonds will be required for the full amount of the subcontract price. We will reimburse for bond premium up to 2%. By submitting a price quote to PCI, Subcontractors and Suppliers affirm they have carefully examined ALL the bidding/contract documents/addenda and that from his/her own investigation, they have satisfied themselves as to the scope of the work. Please contact us for any assistance you nay require for this solicitation, including obtaining bonding, insurance, equipment, materials and/or supplies. We are signatory to Operating Engineers and Laborers Unions. Any non-signatory subcontractors will be required to sign a one time agreement for trades covered under our union agreements. All project documents are available at no cost for download on the Caltrans Office Engineer Website. Project documents may also be viewed in our office by appointment. Subcontractors must possess a current contractor’s license, insurance and worker’s compensation coverage meeting project requirements and will be required to sign a standard Subcontract Agreement.
