Inquiry #1: On plan sheets L-1 and L-2 there shows existing R/W fence within the cut/fill line between Station 356+00 and approximately 361+25.
Will the fence need to be removed and replaced?
What item numbers will this work be placed under?

Inquiry #2: Reference is made to Bid item 105: Reconstruct Turnable Roadside Sign. The plans have details for what looks like new construction of turnable sign assemblies, but sheet C-2 seems to indicate the relocation of the existing sign assemblies. Only one of the six signs is a similar sign assembly as the details shown on SD-1 through SD-8. Will you please clarify what the intention is for the sign details on SD-1 through SD-8? Are the other five signs simply being relocated with new bases?

Inquiry #3: Regarding bid item numbers 115 and 116, the material specified, PTH-02 Extrude (recessed application) has a viscosity characteristic incompatible with satisfactory embedment of enhanced wet night reflective marking systems. A lower viscosity material is more suitable for proper embedment but is not currently allowed in this application under the current specifications and may run out of the slot on super elevated curves. A type 2 or type 3 AASHTO bead is more suitable for this application.

Inquiry #4: Contractor-supplied biologist requirements are shown as "Migratory and nongame birds: 2 years of professional experience performing nesting bird surveys" only.
However, section 14-6.05 Invasive Species Control states the control plan must be prepared by a contractor-supplied biologist with a Bachelor of Science in Botany and 2 years of field experience and plant identification.
Does the contractor-supplied biologist therefore also need to have a botany degree and botany experience?
