Inquiry #2: Will Caltrans consider changing the driveway paving from RHMA-G to HMA-A? The reason is because driveway paving requires a fair amount of handwork (raking, shoveling, etc.) and RHMA is not able to be worked by hand effectively whereas HMA-A can be hand worked. This is to ensure the smoothness and mat finish quality for both the mainline and driveway paving is not compromised. This would yield roughly 7700 tons of RHMA-G for mainline and 200 tons of HMA-A for driveways.
