Inquiry #3: 1. The Grind Tables on Sheets 90-93, in many cases, show the “Top of Prepared Surface Elev” as higher or lower than the “Top of Exist Concrete Elev”. Section 60-3.02 of the Standards indicates to prepare the deck you abrasive blast with steel shot (and I do not see this modified in the Specials). How does the deck get higher (or lower) after bead blasting?

Inquiry #14: Regarding item #70 Midwest Guardrail System (Wood Post). The only 8' wood post available in the Cal Trans standard drawings is a 10X10 X8'. That post would typically be used in a WB-31 or a strengthened railing application. Please confirm Cal Trans wants 10 X 10 X 8' wood posts installed for all of the MGS on this project. There are 8' steel posts available in the standard drawings for narrow roadway applications. (A77N3 Detail B)

Inquiry #17: The SC pages of the plans detail the use of contrast striping on concrete surfaces for Temporary Traffic Stripes. However, the quantities chart on SCQ-1 does not specify that the tape is to be contrast.

Please confirm whether the Temporary Traffic Stripe tape is required to be contrast, as indicated in the SC pages, or if standard tape is acceptable.
