Inquiry submitted 04/30/2025
Response #1:The inquiry has been received and submitted for consideration.
Response posted 04/30/2025
Response #2:Follow contract documents; special provisions; and Standards.
Regarding "Grated Line Drain", refer to all applicable standard plans, eg. (D98H and D98I). There is a varying width from a 4” min to a 9” max. There is a min offset of 6” for concrete backfill from edge of drain to curb or barrier, which is the limiting factor.
The only drainage system that has minimal space for the proposed grated line drain, is drainage system 69 at around station 690. This system requires the 4” width to not impact the traveled way.
The rest of the proposed grated line drains are not impacted and can use whichever size is available and suits each location best.
