Inquiry #9: Accessing the project from the Town of Woodside we endured a 45 minute detour since Hwy. 84 is closed above Portola Rd. We were tuned around by a Flagger due to the closure of Hwy. 84 and directed to take Kings Mountain Rd. (a steep, very narrow and winding 2-lane road) to Skyline Blvd. (Hwy. 35) back to Hwy. 84 to La Honda Rd. back-tracking to Peek-a-Boo Ln. Will Hwy. 84 be repaired and re-opened in time for use in accessing La Honda and constructing the soldier pile wall? The current detour makes delivering 40 ft. long steel soldier piles and transporting large drilling equipment difficult if not impossible to the project.
