Inquiry #1: Section 8-1.04G of the Special Provisions states "Start work before September 15, 2024"

Section 5-1.20B(3) of the Special Provisions states "You must notify the corresponding agency of any shoulder closures, lane closures and one-way reverse traffic control operations at least 28 days in advance for their notification of public and emergency services."

Since this project bids on July 30, 2024, the above 28-day notice and encroachment permit application would be required to be submitted no later than Friday, August 16, 2024 which is only 18 calendar days after the bid date.

Will the Department allow an extension to the specified start date if the project is not awarded and accepted prior to August 16th?
