Inquiry #66: Bid Item No. 0021 is for Lean Concrete Base. This is intended to go under the Hot Mix Asphalt parking lot. It is our understanding that the methods used to install Lean Concrete Base (i.e. and paving machine) will NOT work for the parking lot due to the physical constraints with the curves and multi-direction slope to drain requirements. We also understand the the option to use rapid set concrete base also will NOT work due to the small amount of material needed for this base section. Please provide a base option that will work under the proposed parking lot.
