Inquiry #14: Please refer to plan sheet 57 of 79 for the RCB culvert layout. The note on the plans specifies a maximum length of 4' for precast RCB culvert sections. However, our precast supplier is proposing 6' long sections, which would reduce the total number of segments required to 10.

Please confirm whether the use of 6' long precast sections is acceptable. If approved, we request confirmation that the contractor will still be compensated for the full quantity listed in the bid—15 Each—for both bid item #62, “Furnish Precast Reinforced Concrete Box Culvert Segment,” and bid item #63, “Erect Precast Reinforced Concrete Box Culvert Segment.”
