Please confirm which rehabilitation method of the culverts is desired and provide the corresponding specification section.

Inquiry #5: Traffic Chart K2 & K3 appear to be the same, but K2 states it is valid for only four drainage systems listed. The hours are the same and the Post Miles are similar for both charts. Please clarify the difference between Charts K2 & K3.

Response #1:No, the Drainage Systems listed in Traffic Chart No. K2 are not restricted to be worked on at nighttime only. However, chart No. K2 is restricted to be used, if needed, on the drainage systems listed on chart K2. Work can be done during the day on all the drainage systems, they just need to follow chart No. K1.

Inquiry #7: There are no “L” dimensions provided for the headwalls. Please confirm the width of the headwalls will be the minimum 1.5 x H, from the center of the pipe to each edge of the headwall per the typical elevation on Std Plan D89B.

Inquiry #11: The original bid on 1/28/2025 had a DBE goal of 20%. The scope of this rebid was reduced but the DBE goal was increased to 23%. Due to the scope, location and nature of the work please consider reducing the DBE goal accordingly or at a minimum to the original 20%.

Inquiry #13: Bid Item 52 calls for 36" CSP .138 thickness. We would assume this to be galvanized steel. On Page 31 of the plans, there is a note at the top left of the page that all pipe should be polymeric coated. That is the only place that it references polymeric coating. Is this CSP to be galvanized only or polymeric coated?

Inquiry #15: The PSP states weekly monitoring in the 1602 jurisdiction. However, daily clearance sweeps, pipe checks, active nest checks, and presence during concrete pour is also required. This seems contrary to the weekly monitoring requirement. Is daily monitoring required?
