Inquiry #1: There does not appear to be a K-Rail item for the installation of the barrier transition on the EB off-ramp. Will Caltrans allow us to leave our forms adjacent to traffic prior to pouring the concrete barrier?

Response #2:A closure chart (J3) is included in special provision page #36 that indicates all three project ramps will be completely closed for 55 hour for each ramp utilizing Type III Barricade and detour plans (MI-1, 2 & 3) to facilitate construction. No K-rail is necessary.

Inquiry #2: The plans do not show the use of krail for the installation of barrier on the EB off-ramp. How do we protect our work when the road is open to traffic?
