Inquiry #1: During a recent site visit we noticed that the water table was higher than shown on sheet PS-1, and that sloped areas were saturated. Can you consider adding an Unsuitable Material bid item for instance that the Engineer determines the material is of such unstable nature that it cannot be compacted to the specified density using ordinary methods at optimum moisture content.

Inquiry #11: In Section 5-1.36c(3) the SDG&E utility relocation calls for 120 working days for notification, and 40 days for the work. This exceeds the total working days for the contract. Has Caltrans provided SDG&E with the notification? If not, is it Caltrans intent to have the utility relocated prior to the start of the 155 contract days, thus pushing the bike path work into the winter months?
