Traffic Chart G33 and G34 are to close the express lanes, which state leave 4 lanes open, the mainline has 5 & 6 lanes which does not allow work to be safely performed in the #2 lane.
Traffic Charts G1 through G32 when closing from the slow side allows the closer of all lanes except the #1 lane open which also does not allow for work to be safely performed in the #2 lane.

Inquiry #2: Per Traffic Charts G1 through G32 when closing #1 or the #1 and #2 lanes you need to close the Express lanes per Charts G33 and G34 which states you must leave 4 lanes open, there are 5 and 6 lanes for the mainline, work cannot be performed safely in the #2 lane.
Per Traffic Charts G1 through G32 when closing from the slow side you are required to leave the #1 lane open which work cannot be safely performed in the #2 lane.
Please advise.

Inquiry #8: With regard to irrigation FLOW SENSOR assemblies, the number of assemblies shown on the drawings conflicts with direction provided in the special provisions (refer to irrigation materials list provided in Section 20-2.06B(2)(a). Similarly, the number or sensor decoders expressed differs from the quantity of assemblies shown on the drawings. Advise how we are to bid, and amend the bid form to reconcile intended scope items and quantities.

Inquiry #14: Refer to irrigation plan sheets IP-3 and IP-4 on the uppermost portion of the match-line near the architects stamp. There appears to be a lapse in continuity for the irrigation mainline system here, advise where the mainline shown on IP-4 is to continue on IP-3 or revise the drawings accordingly.

Inquiry #16: Please consider using a different symbol to define the use of GSP as it relates to the irrigation system. There is no clear distinction or separation of where PVC and GSP stop and start. Location of GSP will impact how the item is bid and materials are calculated.

Inquiry #17: Refer to irrigation plan sheet IP-4 in the landscape area within the vicinity of remote control valve callout A-20; there is no proposed irrigation in an area approximately 30,000 square feet which includes new 1 gallon Myoporum plantings on the corresponding planting plan sheet PP-4. Advise how these plants are to receive watering or revised irrigation sheet IP-4 to provide the needed sprinkler coverage.

Inquiry #18: Pop-up sprinkler assemblies per bid item #53 are indicated as single symbols and there is no reference designating a factor that would multiply the symbol to arrive at a final quantity. The takeoff of actual symbols is exactly half of the stated bid quantity. Advise if this is correct or if in fact the symbol is to be multiplied by a factor of (2) for each symbol shown on the plans.

Inquiry #22: Refer to special provision 20-2.06B(2)(a), the Equipment description in the table provides Armored-Clad 2-WIRE model CAB14-R. However, this model is not an armored-clad type (no steel tape to meet Caltrans standard specification). Furthermore, on irrigation plan, irrigation control and neutral conductor symbol does not have 'ACC' letter on it. Bid item #0041 for conductor does not indicate 'armored-clad' as well. Please confirm irrigation conductor required for this project is not armored-clad. Otherwise, please provide the correct model for armored-clad conductor and revised irrigation plans that reflect 'ACC' Conductor symbol if necessary.

Inquiry #24: Refer to sheet IP-3, at S605-W22 Conn/ ''XB-3'' Line, Station 61+71, there is a new Class 315 supply line symbol inside existing 10'' WSP with existing 2-1/2'' GSP. Please confirm no new Class 316 supply is included in the existing 10'' conduit.
Similarly, there is new sprinkler control conductor symbol in this existing conduit with does not connect to any valves of controller 'G' and 'L'. Confirm wire in this existing 10'' conduit is not necessary.

Inquiry #26: Refer to sheet IP-2, there are (2) 3'' RCVMF - master valve with flow sensor for controller 'K' and 'L' on SB Route 405. Please confirm if each RCVMF is a separate master valve and a flow sensor or a hydrometer valve - a combination of master valve and flow sensor. If it is a hydrometer, please specify the desirable model as there is no technical specification for hydrometer in Caltrans Standard Specification.
