Inquiry #1: Request to add on optional construction joint between the concrete barrier and 10" concrete barrier footing.
Inquiry submitted 05/27/2025

Response #1:Bid as is

Inquiry #2: Sheet C-1 shows 10' of the Cable Railing going into the Concrete Barrier Transition.

There is no detail for this insert and would be much more cost effective to not include this cable railing.

What is the states intent with this?

Please Advise.

Inquiry #3: Is it the State's intent to complete all the asphalt and concrete paving in one 10-hour shift? No extended closures? Please advise

Response #1:Bid as is

Inquiry #4: The profile on sheet 7 shows a grade difference as much as 1 foot between the original connector grade and the new finish grade. If the paving operations for either the asphalt or JPCP were done in sections, how would traffic transition from the existing grades to the new pavement.

We believe the State is missing staging plans to complete the work safely.

Please advise.

Inquiry #5: Section C-C on Sheet 11 misrepresents the existing field conditions to bury the ADL material. The existing condition is a 2:1 slope which would require extensive shoring to be placed to allow the placement of the ADL material as shown. If this is the intent, the contractor would need a traffic plan on Miraloma Ave. Please advise.
