Services needed: R E Mason Engineering, Inc. is requesting quotes from all qualified subcontractors and suppliers including certified DBE/UDBE/SBE/WBE/DVBE firms for any and all items of work pertaining to, and associated with services, materials etc., generally associated with or otherwise accepted and approved as standard items of work for your firm related to applicable bid items on this project.
Requirements: R E Mason Engineering, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer. R E Mason Engineering, Inc. (Mason) is signatory with the Operators, Laborers and Teamsters Unions. Plans and specifications for this project are available to review upon request, or on the Caltrans Website. Mason will negotiate in Good Faith with all prospective subcontractors and suppliers for this project. Mason will assist in obtaining bonding, lines of credit, insurance, necessary equipment, supplies and materials. Scope letters (including subcontractor conditions or exceptions) should be received 24 hours prior to bid time to allow for proper evaluation and review. 100% performance and payment bonds may be required for the full amount of subcontract price by an admitted surety and subject to approval by Mason. Mason will pay for bond premium up to 1.5%. Subcontractors must possess a current applicable contractors license, be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations, and possess insurance and workers compensation coverage meeting Mason and Caltrans minimum requirements, and will be required to sign the standard Mason Subcontract Agreement and provide a waiver of subrogation. Requirements: Lamassu Utility Services, Inc intends to work cooperatively with all qualified firms seeking work on this project, including but not limited to breaking out contract work items into economically feasible units to increase overall DVBE participation. Plan and Specifications are available from Caltrans Web Site listed above and Lamassu's Estimating office. For assistance obtaining or regarding the Plans and Specifications, please contact the listed Estimator. 100% payment and performance bonds for Subcontractors are required. Lamassu will pay bond premium up to 1.5%. Insurance Waiver of subrogation also required. However, certified DVBE's are encouraged to contact Lamassu and request assistance if they are unable to meet Lamassu's standard bonding or insurance requirements. Subcontractor, Supplier and Trucker quotes must be valid, at minimum, for the award period stated in the contract documents, Please note that this is a prevailing wage project. All Subcontractor Quotes must have the Department of Industrial Relations # to be ACCEPTED.
