Requirements: Peterson-Chase GEC., Inc. can assist in payment of a reasonable bond premium. A 100% payment bond and performance bond may be required for the full amount of the subcontract price. Please provide a bond premium rate with your quote. If you have any questions, need assistance in obtaining bonding, lines of credit, insurance, equipment, supplies, materials or related assistance in services, plans and specs, please contact Dick Vogels at our office. Please note that no contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project (submitted on or after March 1, 2015) unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 [with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under Labor Code section 1771.1(a)]. Subcontractors must possess an active contractor’s license, insurance and worker’s compensation coverage meeting Caltrans’ requirements and will be required to sign the standard Peterson-Chase GEC., Inc. Services needed: Stacy and Witbeck, Inc. is requesting quotes from all certified and qualified subcontractors and suppliers including DVBE/SBE firms for the following items of work, including but not limited to Electrical, Traffic Striping, Guardrail, Concrete Barrier, Fence, Minor Concrete, Signs, Site Demolition, Bridge Demolition, Polyester Concrete, Public Safety Plan, Reinforcing Steel, Hat Mix Asphalt Dike, Hot Mix Asphalt, Treated Wood Waste, Concrete Washout Rental, Street Sweeping, SWPPP BMP Installation, Traffic Control, QA/QC, Trucking, Concrete Pumping, Pre & post Construction Survey, Equipment Rental, Ready-Mix Concrete, Misc. Iron and Steel (Furnish), HMAC (Furnish), Aggregates (Furnish), Misc. Metal & Guard Rail (Furnish), Pipe & Fittings (Furnish), Form Liner (Furnish), SWPPP BMP (Furnish). Stacy and Witbeck, Inc. will work with interested subcontractors to identify opportunities to break down items into economically feasible packages.
Requirements: The project includes a 3% DVBE and 5% SBE Goal. Plans and specs including the bid package and any addenda modifying the project plans are available on the Caltrans Site for all projects currently advertised, https://ppmoe.dot.ca.gov/des/oe/weekly-ads/a;;-adv-projects.php or in our office by emailing swisocalest@stacywitbeck.com. All subcontractors must possess a current contractor’s license, insurance, and worker’s comp insurance coverage meeting Stacy and Witbeck’s requirements. A copy of the insurance requirements and agreements can be obtained by contacting the estimator. In addition, subcontractors are required to register with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR), as required by Public Contract Code Section 1725.5, please furnish the DIR number with your quote submittal. Include applicable DVBE/SBE certifications issued and validated by pertinent agencies. Stacy and Witbeck, Inc. is signatory to the following unions; Operating Engineers, Carpenters, Laborers, and Cement Masons. In some cases, we may be able to provide assistance obtaining bonds, line of credit, insurance, necessary equipment, supplies, and materials, as well as any related assistance in services to subcontractors who may otherwise be at a disadvantage.
